Javascript, public data, Python, Processing

As a researcher and graduate student in the Social Computing Group at the MIT Media Lab, I worked under the direction of group director Sep Kamvar with a team of engineers to create 1 map per day over the course of 1 year.

This project was my introduction to programming. Over the course of the year, I produced more than 50 maps on quality of life indicators in different cities, from the ingredients found on a city’s restaurant menus to how foreign investment shapes the commercial landscape of a city.
